Behind every high-quality early childhood education program is an educator who is continuously learning, growing, and finding new ways to support children and families.
At Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc., we believe professional development is more than a requirement. It is an investment in educators, their professional growth, and the quality of early childhood education. This belief inspired the development of Clarendon’s Learning Management System (LMS), an online platform designed to make professional learning accessible, flexible, and meaningful for family childcare (FCC) educators, assistants, and staff.
Learning That Fits Educators’ Lives
Family childcare educators wear many hats. They are teachers, business owners, administrators, and partners with families. Finding time for professional development can be challenging. Clarendon’s LMS, Clarendon Learning Connections: Professional Development for Family Child Care, offers self-paced courses that allow educators to learn when it works best for them.
Recognizing the diversity of our early education community, Clarendon also provides learning opportunities in multiple languages, helping reduce barriers and expand access to professional growth.
Building Professionalism and High-Quality Programs
Professional development strengthens educators’ knowledge, confidence, and professional identity. Through courses focused on child development, health and safety, curriculum, family engagement, leadership, and program management, educators gain practical strategies they can apply in their daily work.
For Clarendon staff, the LMS also supports ongoing learning, consistency in practices, and opportunities for professional growth.
When educators strengthen their skills, they are better equipped to create nurturing environments, support children’s individual needs, build meaningful relationships with families, and continuously improve their programs. When educators grow, the quality of their programs grows with them.
Connecting Our Early Education Community
Family childcare educators often work independently, making opportunities for professional connection especially valuable. Clarendon Learning Connections helps build a shared learning community where educators and staff can exchange ideas, reflect on practices, and grow together.
Technology does not replace personal relationships. Instead, it can create new opportunities to strengthen collaboration, communication, and a sense of belonging.
Growing Stronger Together
Clarendon Learning Connections is more than an online course library. It represents our commitment to lifelong learning, professional excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
As we continue expanding learning opportunities for educators, staff, and families, our goal remains the same: to support knowledgeable, confident, and connected professionals who make a difference in the lives of children every day. Because when we invest in educators, we invest in children, families, and the future of our communities.
