Transportation Coordinator

Boston, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn & Springfield Areas.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Transportation Manager with daily department operations including dispatch and supervision of drivers. (I.e. route assignments, transportation forms, transportation subsidy eligibility, coverage etc.)
  • Morning and afternoon dispatch coverage for all 7D Transportation Providers across all service delivery areas.
  • Notify all drivers, parents, educators and schools with accurate information regarding scheduled pick-ups, drop-offs and changes to existing schedules.
  • Weekly/daily communication with drivers, parents, educators and financial assistance subsidy and childcare management teams to ensure consistent and seamless implementation of service.
  • Support Transportation Manager with implementation of route sheets by ensuring that each driver has updated sheets and child data forms in a timely manner each week.
  • Document in writing and submit all incidents/complaints/reports regarding transportation to Transportation Manager within twenty-four hours.
  • Responsible to immediately bring to the attention of Transportation Department all safety violations or concerns on any vehicle providing services to CEES.
  • Act as night and weekend emergency contact for all transportation related calls.
  • Report to Regional Directors on issues related to family childcare operations.
  • Assist with the development of an annual training calendar for drivers and participate in scheduled driver meeting and trainings.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines pertinent to the transportation of children in Massachusetts.
  • Ensure compliance with all CEES policy and procedure as outlined in CEES’ Transportation Manual and Safety Oversight Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of three years experience in the field of transportation of children or alternate transportation dispatch experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required
  • 7D certified a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Word Processing and data entry software.
