Hi, my name is Karen Bedoya. I’m an early childhood educator and the founder of
Estimulando Mentes Family Child Care, in the city of Lynn — a program licensed by
the Department of Early Education and Care in Massachusetts. I’ve been in the
education field for 13 years, six years with my own program, and about five years
working alongside Clarendon.

Over these years my experience as an educator has been very positive. I really
value being able to count on an agency that keeps us up to date through trainings,
both for us as providers and for our staff, and that when a situation comes up, or
a family in our program needs help, we can get guidance and advice promptly.

For me that support has been so important, because it hasn’t only allowed me to
keep growing professionally — it’s also let me feel that I’m not alone while I grow
my program and support the families who trust me.

After five years I can say it’s been a really rewarding experience working with
Clarendon, and I’m very grateful for the support I’ve received along the way.
