Question 1: Share one or two healthy ways that you manage stress.

carmenalvis@hotmail.com
Reply to  Joanna Doyle

Question 2: What types of behaviors do you see in your program that concern you? What resources have you used to help you?

Reply to  Joanna Doyle

When their behavior suddenly changes without a reasonable explanation, that’s when I contact parents and get them involved that we could come up with healthy solutions that can be promoted at home and at care.

Intense anger or perhaps a tantrum when something has been taken away from them or ignored by them and speak with the parents.

Question 3: Describe two or three strategies you use in your program to encourage healthy habits.

carmenalvis@hotmail.com
Reply to  Joanna Doyle

En mi programa fomento hábitos saludables mediante:

-Coming to me for anything they believe is bothering them.
-Teaching them habits of saying than you, sorry, may I, please etc.
-When coming to care in the morning always talk and ask them how’re they feeling, hugging them and engage in a quick morning talk.

One way is by gross playing for an hour. Another strategy is eating a healthy diet lunch or breakfast. The last strategy is by doing 15 minutes quiet time.

Because my children are toddlers when behaviors become questionable I refer to developmental milestones , or I document the behaviors the ASQ comes in handy when they are what they call the terrible two’s and three’s it’s hard to tell weather this is normal behavior or not , so I have to be mindful of how they act toward one an other and themselves.

Question 4: What stood out to you in the video that might change how you think about play in your Family Child Care program?

carmenalvis@hotmail.com
Reply to  Joanna Doyle
