Training Requirements

Clarendon is required to monitor and ensure that each provider obtain a minimum of six DESE approved CACFP related training hours annually.  All training topics are posted on CEES’s website https://www.clarendonearlyeducationservices.org

Provider training requirements stipulate that two (2) of the six hours must be devoted to recordkeeping requirements, which include meal counts and menu planning; two (2) hours of training must be devoted to food safety and sanitation; and two (2) must be devoted to nutrition education.

PRORATED FISCAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW PROVIDERS CONTRACTING

October through January

Six (6) hours of CACFP training required by the end of the fiscal

year.

February through May

Four (4) hours of CACFP training required (two hours must be record keeping, 2 hour of nutrition and 2 hour must be food safety

& sanitation) by the end of the fiscal year.

June through September

One (1) hour of CACFP record keeping training and one (1) hour of

food safety & sanitation training required by the end of the fiscal year.

Providers, that transfer sponsorships during a fiscal year, must complete the 6 hours CACFP training requirement by September 30 of the current fiscal year. Beginning of every fiscal year a 30 minute Civil Rights training must be completed as well.

In order to renew your participation, you must have completed all the required training as of September 30, of the current fiscal year. Clarendon may also determine you  to be Seriously Deficient for not obtaining the required CACFP training.
